Thanks to ... Firstly, a disclaimer ... the information on this site is correct and accurate to the best of my knowledge based on the information that I've been able to find on these 30+ year old guitars. That doesn't mean that it's right! Secondly, my thanks to all of those who have contributed to this website, whether with information, pictures or comments. I'd particularly like to thank Tim Gentle of Tim Gentle Music(from where I bought my first Kawai in c1979) who was able to send me copies of the original Kawai catalogues from the late 70's, which he'd naturally kept just waiting for someone to ask for them. Tim's apparently still regularly gigging with a KS-11-XL. The ad (from International Musician & Recording World, September 1980)
The Kawai company in Japan took the time to reply to my emails asking for information, retrieved a catalogue from their archives and emailed me a copy.
